BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Schedule: 3 x 12 hours, 7:00pm - 7:00am

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

• This pay band depends on experience and progression through our leveling system.
• Additional shift differential of $3.00 - $4.50 per hour is available!

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triages emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs and alert veterinarians to abnormalities.
5. Identify patients at risk of arrest and initiate CPR.
6. Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications appropriately.
7. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
9. Mentor and train colleagues.
10. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
