BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the Veterinary Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your skills alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triages emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital data, alerting veterinarians to changes.
5. Identify patients at risk of arrest and initiate CPR.
6. Calculate medical math, including infusions, and administer medications appropriately.
7. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
9. Mentor and train co-workers with patience and empathy.
