Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our emergency team in Brandon, FL.

Position Details

This is a full-time daytime position with 12-hour shifts, scheduled three days per week. Available shift options include:

  • 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
  • 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM: Monday, Saturday, Sunday

Sign-on Bonus

We offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.

Shift Differentials
  • Sunday - Thursday Night differential: $4.00 (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Friday/Saturday Night differential: $6.00 (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Saturday/Sunday Daytime differential: $2.00 (7:30 AM - 7:30 PM)

Role Overview

The Emergency Veterinary Technician plays a critical role in assessing and prioritizing emergent patients, working closely with our experienced team to deliver high-standard medicine and compassionate care.

Ideal Candidate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
  • Experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary protocols and procedures
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts, and holidays
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members to provide excellent patient care
  • Perform nursing skills such as restraint, vital signs, anesthesia monitoring, intubation, catheterization, phlebotomy, treatments, and medication administration
  • Monitor patients using advanced equipment and protocols
  • Manage anesthesia and in-house lab work, radiographs
  • Discuss diagnostics, procedures, and treatments with clients
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist in hospital equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Communicate compassionately with pet owners and veterinarians
