Job summary

PVESC in Portland, ME is seeking an Emergency & Critical Care Technician to join our fast-paced ECC team. You will triage, stabilize, and manage emergency patients alongside ER doctors and nurses in a high-acuity setting.

We offer a $25–$38/hour wage based on experience/licensure, shift differentials, sign-on bonus potential, and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match. Paid CE, PTO, holidays, and pet discounts are included to support your growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• LVT/CVT/RVT credentials or strong Veterinary Assistant experience.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Experience with diagnostics, imaging, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients.
• Administer medications and manage fluid therapy.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics, including radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs.
• Monitor anesthesia and support emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.

The Role

Full-time | Current open position Sunday, Monday, Tuesday | 1:30 PM–2:00 AM (subject to change depending on hiring needs)
Some holidays required.

As an ECC Technician, you’ll work alongside our ER doctors and nursing team to:

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients
• Administer medications and manage fluid therapy
