Qualifications

• Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is required.

• Genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

LVT/RVT/CVT $22 - $30/hr. Non-Credentialed Technicians $18- $28/hr. +$3/hr weekend differential. Webster, TX

Compensation

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians: $22‑$30/hr based on experience
• Non‑Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $18‑$28/hr based on experience
• + $3/hr weekend differential (Friday‑Sunday)

Job Description

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing life‑saving care to pets. Your duties include:

• Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to all hospitalized and emergency patients.
• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform key technical tasks including restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, radiographs, lab work, and medication administration.
• Accurately prepare and administer treatments per veterinary orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure coordinated, top‑level patient care.
• Respond swiftly to STAT calls and follow emergency care protocols.
• Create treatment estimates, review plans with clients, process payments, and manage admissions/discharges.
• Communicate with clients professionally, offering empathy and clear information.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
• Support hospital cleanliness, safety, and inventory management.
• Perform anesthesia and sedation following established protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with additional duties as needed.
