BluePearl Pet Hospital in Florida is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for weekend day shifts in our fast-paced Emergency and Critical Care department. The role offers a pay range of $20.00–$35.00 per hour, dependent on experience and progression through our competency levels.

• Experience as Veterinary Technician in Emergency/Critical Care preferred.
• Competency leveling system; pay tied to experience.

Responsabilidades

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients using monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and record vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges for vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Obtain and interpret vital signs and escalate as needed.
• Identify arrest risk and initiate CPR.
• Perform medical calculations and administer medications via appropriate routes.
• Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train other co-workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department during weekend day shifts.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As An Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
