Job summary

East York Veterinary Center in York, PA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time role. You will assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries, while monitoring anesthesia and providing nursing care.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary technician is required.
  • Credentialed veterinary technician is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical and clinical skills including patient care and anesthesia monitoring are preferred.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Passion for patient care and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures.
  • Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized patients including monitoring, medication administration, and treatments.
  • Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and support fluid therapy.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment including digital radiography and in-house laboratory analyzers.
  • Support dental procedures including anesthesia monitoring and dental radiography.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners.
  • Collaborate with a team that values your skills, input, and growth.

Veterinary Technician – East York Veterinary Center – York, PA
Seeking Experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team at East York Veterinary Center

  • Location: East York Veterinary Center – York, PA
  • Schedule: Full-Time
    • Teammates are expected to work every other or every third Saturday based on hospital scheduling needs
    • One Sunday shift is also required and will be scheduled during the same weekend as the Saturday shift
  • Requirement: Experienced Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Compensation:
    • $15.00-$20.00/hour Compensation based on experience, credentials, and skillset

A Day in the Life
