BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Dental Veterinary Technician!

Pay: LVT I $24.00 - $35.20 / hour

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on work experience and advancement through our Kahuna leveling program.

As a Dentistry Veterinary Technician:
  • You will perform oral examinations.
  • You will perform dental charting.
  • You will take dental radiographs with proper positioning and technique.
  • You will set up and assist with dental procedures and surgeries.
  • You will perform professional dental cleanings including subgingival scaling, root planning, and curettage.
  • You will perform effective oral nerve blocks in preparation for advanced procedures as directed by veterinarian.
  • You will be able to calculate basic medical math.
  • You will understand classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
  • You will administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
  • You will perform phlebotomy.
  • You will have the ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters.
  • You will perform a physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
  • You will induce, monitor anesthesia and recover patients.
