Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Nashville, TN seeks an ICU/ Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. This full-time role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

As an ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will triage, identify at-risk patients, place IVs and catheters, monitor ventilator cases, and mentor colleagues while delivering advanced medicine to patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency or critical care veterinary settings preferred.
• Comfort with flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to triage, monitor and manage critically ill patients with teams.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVs and advanced catheters such as Jugular, Central lines or PICC.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases in ICU.
• Collaborate with skilled technicians and assistants to deliver advanced medicine.
• Mentor and train colleagues.
• Provide compassionate care to reunite pets with families.
