Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Veterinary Technician Learning and Development Specialist (CVT/LVT/RVT) to blend clinical research, technician education, and patient care. The role is full‑time, onsite, with four 10‑hour shifts and rotating weekends, supporting evidence‑based medicine and a culture of continuous learning.

You’ll collaborate with doctors, technicians, and hospital leadership to strengthen clinical skills, develop protocols, and mentor staff

Qualifications

• Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician required.
• Strongly preferred: Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS).
• Minimum of 5 years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Strong teaching, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Interest in clinical research, veterinary education, and evidence‑based medicine.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete at least four Ethos Discovery studies or initiatives each year.
• Develop and deliver clinical education, in‑services, and hands‑on training.
• Mentor Veterinary Technicians and Assistants pursuing advanced clinical skills.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and leadership to drive clinical improvement.
• Translate research findings into practical learning opportunities for the team.
