Thrive Pet Healthcare in La Mesa, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our care-focused team. You’ll support veterinarians, perform outpatient tasks, and assist with lab tests, admissions, and discharges for dogs and cats.

We offer weekend shifts with a 4-day work week and 10-hour shifts; Sundays are required. Grow with Thrive through ongoing education, mentorship, and a supportive network across 400 clinics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years veterinary experience required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates compassion for animals and clients.
• Strong communication with team and clients.
• Willing to assist with reception when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures to support the medical team.
• Maintain complete medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history from clients and update charts.
• Ensure safe restraining techniques and clean treatment areas.
• Communicate treatment plans and estimates to clients.
• Guide and mentor fellow team members.
• Help maximize productivity and patient flow.
