Job summary

Conchester Animal Hospital in Boothwyn, PA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team. This full-time role includes evenings and Saturday rotation, with emphasis on patient care, surgical support, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication.

We value a confident, reliable team player who can perform blood draws, IV placement, radiographs, EKGs, and assist DVMs across exams and procedures. Join us for a long-standing community-focused practice with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years veterinary technician experience in practice.
• Ability to perform blood draws, IV placement and anesthesia monitoring.
• Assist DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with clients about plans and updates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care, surgeries, anesthesia monitoring and diagnostics.
• Support DVMs during examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Perform blood draws, catheter placements, injections, radiographs and EKGs.
• Explain treatment plans and discharge instructions to clients.
• Collaborate with team to improve hospital efficiency.

Veterinary Technician

Location: Boothwyn, PA

Schedule: Full-Time | Some evening until 8pm and Saturday rotation from 9am-4pm

Conchester Animal Hospital has proudly served the Boothwyn and Marcus Hook communities since 1960, when it was founded by University of Pennsylvania veterinary classmates Dr. Mead Shaffer and Dr. Donald Skinner and named after the nearby Conchester Highway. We are currently seeking a skilled veterinary technician to join our collaborative and supportive team and help continue our long-standing tradition of excellent patient care.

What You'll Do

• Assist in patient care, surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics
• Support our DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments, and procedures
• Perform hands-on tasks including drawing blood, catheter placement, and injections, take radiographs and performs EKGs.
• Communicate clearly with clients on treatment plans, patient updates, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with all team members to promote hospital efficiency and workflow
