Job summary

CityVet Universal City is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. Entry-level candidates may be considered with training provided.

The role supports veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure excellent patient care and efficient day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include assisting with surgeries and treatments, coordinating with front office staff, and helping with patient records as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old at hire.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medication.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfort with standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist VT in preparing patients for medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Collaborate with Vet and VT teams for triage and patient care in a fast-paced setting.
• Support with appointments, walk-ins, and documenting treatment plans.
