Job description

This busy mixed-animal practice began as a family venture currently employs 3-4 FT DVMs with a very diverse set of professional interests. Looking for technicians/assistants with real-world experience who can work independently, have good social and leadership skills, and have as strong interest in continuing education and lifelong learning. Would be willing to consider inexperienced applicants who come with strong references.

Schumacher Veterinary Clinic is a full-service large and small animal care with emergency service for established clients ONLY--on-call work is divided between technicians/assistants and back-up is always available. Practice is heavy on surgery, both routine and some speciality procedures (including more advanced soft tissue, orthopedic, large animal, and dentistry) as well as a substantial amount of wellness care and internal medicine work.

In-house IDEXX lab, digital radiography (stationary, dental, and mobile), truck with Porta-Vet, and endoscopy are just some of the services we offer our clients. CCRT and CCRA on staff with options for more non-traditional treatments such as hydrotherapy, acupuncture, cold laser, chiropractic, and PEMF available. This practice continues to grow month-to-month and year-to-year-we work hard but maintain our family atmosphere. New satellite location opening in nearby rural community this summer. Background check and/or drug testing may be required due to ongoing contracts with law enforcement and working canines. Our core staff has a combined 125+ years of experience at THIS job plus a full time Practice Manager to help support you as best possible.
