Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Advanced technical skills including phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring, and critical patient care.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients.
• Accurate medical record documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring critical and hospitalized patients and identifying changes in patient status.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Medication administration via IV, IM, SQ, and other appropriate routes.
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection.
• Assisting with advanced critical care procedures.
• Monitoring anesthesia and recovering patients.
• Performing diagnostic testing, including chemistries, CBCs, urinalysis, and fecal testing.
• Collecting and appropriately handling blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of treatments, patient status, and changes in overall health.
• Working closely with the medical team to prioritize patient needs and respond to changes quickly.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked ICU.

We are currently hiring a full-time ICU Veterinary Technician / Assistant to join our overnight team:

Friday – Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This position includes an overnight shift premium.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

As a member of our ICU team, you’ll work alongside our doctors and support staff to provide attentive, high-level care to hospitalized and critically ill patients. Responsibilities may include:
