Job summary

Dewitt Animal Hospital in Plainville, Massachusetts, is seeking a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. You’ll be involved in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and running bloodwork while providing excellent client education and compassionate care.

• 1+ years in the veterinary industry
• Knowledge of basic industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist in surgery.
• Place IV catheters and draw blood, run bloodwork.

We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician or Assistant who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing, and Dewitt Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. Pay range

$18.00-$23.00 based on experience
