What You’ll Do

As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our doctors and veterinary support team to provide excellent patient care. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
• Safely restraining dogs and cats using compassionate, low-stress techniques
• Collecting patient histories and communicating clearly with pet owners
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assisting with laboratory testing, radiographs, and sample collection
• Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring them during recovery
• Filling medications as directed by the veterinarian
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Cleaning, stocking, and maintaining hospital equipment and work areas
• Educating clients about medications, treatments, and preventive care
• Jumping in wherever needed to support the team and keep the day running smoothly
