Andrews Veterinary Clinic in Andrews, Texas is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, high-volume practice. You will assist with wellness exams, diagnostics, anesthesia, dentistry, and client education across a variety of species.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume practice.
• Willingness to work weekends and rotating on-call schedule.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint for multiple species.
• Ability to perform nursing care in hospital or outdoor settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience preferred.
• Dentistry experience (scaling, polishing, radiographs) preferred.
• Cytology setup and interpretation in the lab.

Responsibilities

Who You Are

• 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Comfortable working at a high- volume practice and able to multitask
• Willingness to work weekends and a rotating on-call schedule
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Skilled in phlebotomy and IV catheter placement
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care preferred
• Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs preferred
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
