Job summary

Crossroads Animal Care Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) to join our busy hybrid General Practice and Urgent Care hospital. You’ll provide hands-on nursing care, with a focus on dentistry and anesthesia, and support client communication.

This full-time role requires active credentials, prior clinical experience, and ability to manage dental workflows from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Active LVT, RVT, or CVT credential required.
  • Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
  • Strong anesthesia knowledge and patient monitoring skills.
  • Ability to independently perform dental cleanings and obtain diagnostic dental radiographs.
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, restraint, and laboratory procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift throughout the day.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with both clients and coworkers.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to continue learning.

Responsibilities

  • Managing anesthesia cases and monitoring surgical patients.
  • Performing COHATs, charting, and full-mouth dental imaging.
  • Assisting doctors with treatments, diagnostics, and urgent care cases.
  • Supporting patient intake, outpatient procedures, and hospitalized case management.
  • Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring treatment areas remain organized and efficient.
  • Contributing to a supportive and team-focused hospital culture.

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT)

Compensation: $25–$35/hour depending on experience

Up to $3K bonus available (based on time commitment)

Full-Time Position | Rotating Saturdays (8 AM–2 PM)

We’re currently searching for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who enjoys hands‑on nursing care, values teamwork, and is especially confident in dentistry and anesthesia.

About The Role

This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in strong technical skills. Our technicians are highly utilized and play an essential role in patient care, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education. Candidates who are comfortable managing dental workflow from start to finish will thrive in this role.

Our Hospital Hours Are
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Scheduling flexibility is important.

What We’re Looking For
  • Active LVT, RVT, or CVT credential required
