VCA Cairo Animal Hospital in Highland Park, IL seeks an experienced veterinary technician to join our technical team. You’ll assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, anesthesia monitoring, and procedures while delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting doctors with examinations, treatments, and procedures

Compensation: $18.50 - $28/hr based on licensure, experience, and skill set

Schedule: Full-time | 4 x 10-hour shifts with flexible scheduling

What You’ll Do:

As a valued member of our technical team, you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians and technicians to provide high-quality patient care, including:

• Assisting doctors with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Administering medications and treatments
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and recognizing changes in patient status
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Dentistry and dental radiography
• Diagnostic imaging
• Laboratory sample collection and processing
• Pharmacy duties and medication preparation
• Client education and discharge instructions
• Medical record documentation and treatment estimates
