Job summary

Mountainwood Pet Hospital in Windsor, CO, is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing team. You will assist veterinarians in surgery and in exams, perform dental cleanings, place IV catheters, take digital radiographs, and run in-house diagnostic tests while communicating clearly with clients.

Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree (preferred), 2 years of veterinary experience (preferred), and certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians in surgery and in exam rooms
  • Performing dental cleanings
  • Assisting with all surgical procedures
  • Placing IV catheters
  • Taking digital radiographs
  • Performing diagnostic tests including in-house labs
  • Collecting blood samples
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Communicating directly with clients via phone, text, and in person
  • Answering a multi-line phone system
  • Scheduling appointments and/or surgical procedures
  • Greeting clients and patients in person and over the phone
  • Checking patients in/out for surgical procedures

Compensation
  • Base hourly rate of $20-24
  • Eligible for periodic bonus (where applicable)
  • Eligible for emergency technician pay (where applicable)

We are looking for exceptionally compassionate individuals that possess both strong interpersonal and technical skills. These individuals will be expected to provide the highest level of quality service and outstanding care to the clients and patients of our hospital.

Mountainwood Pet Hospital is a four doctor, general practice in Windsor, with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine and client service. We have an enthusiastic and friendly team of individuals who are genuinely interested in outstanding service and quality care for our clients and their pets.

Our hours of operation: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
