Job summary

Green Bay Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Licensed veterinary technician preferred or experienced technician.
  • Previous veterinary technician experience required.
  • Ability to work 4-5 weekday shifts with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain histories, vital signs, and assessments.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide nursing care from intake to discharge.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and samples.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs and run in-house testing.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, monitor anesthesia.
  • Educate clients on medications and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Promote efficiency and collaboration within the team.

Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician

Status: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and licensure

Schedule: 4-5 weekday shifts. Rotating Saturdays.

Experience: Previous veterinary technician experience required; licensure preferred

What You’ll Do
  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Run in-house laboratory testing and accurately process patient samples.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Monitor anesthesia, vital signs, pain levels, and patient status during procedures and recovery.
  • Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and teammates to promote efficiency and collaboration.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment and examination areas.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional-development opportunities.
