Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Utah seeks a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and support veterinarians in delivering high-quality pet care. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Role includes assisting with surgeries, managing records, educating clients, and maintaining a clean, safe treatment environment while mentoring teammates. AVMA-accredited education is preferred, with 2–3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred but not required.
  • 2–3 years of clinical experience.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in line with state Veterinary Practice Act.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options.
  • Maintain medical records using practice management systems and health histories from clients.
  • Use safe restraining techniques and keep exam rooms, labs, and treatment areas clean and organized.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members.

DescriptionAnimal Care Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!$1,500 Sign on Bonus available!Provide your best care with more bridges and less barriers.As a Veterinary Technician you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.Role Responsibilities:Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.Experience & Skills Requirements:Veterinary technician licensure preferred, but not required2-3 years of clinical experienceAn Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.You’ll Grow With UsHere, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
