Animal Care Hospital of Walnut Creek is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians in exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, while ensuring compassionate handling of animals and clear client communication.

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $25.00-$35.00 dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: 4 days per week 10 hour shifts, on weekend day is required
