Job summary

Washington County Veterinary Hospital in Wakefield, Rhode Island, is growing and seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our sunny, dedicated team. You will assist in surgery, restrain and care for patients, and support clients with compassionate education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and recovery.
• Place IV catheters and draw blood.
• Run bloodwork and operate lab equipment.
• Properly restrain animals and room patients for exams.
• Support daily clinic operations and client communication.

Washington County Veterinary Hospital is located in Wakefield, Rhode Island and surrounded by beaches and inlets to the ocean. We are a modern facility providing our clients and patients with exceptional veterinary care. We are looking to add a full-time experienced veterinary technician to join our amazing team full of daily sunshine! The ideal candidate must be comfortable properly handling and restraining animals, rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgical recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, have experience with x-ray and proper positioning, using laboratory equipment, and being a positive and supportive team player. Salary: Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience.

Sign-n Bonus: Eligibility for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.00 based on experience and surgical/anesthesia experience.
