We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who is confident in the exam room, enjoys working with clients, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.
You'll help lead the patient visit from intake through discharge while working closely with the veterinarian and the rest of the medical team.
Take ownership of exam-room workflow from intake through discharge
Obtain thorough patient histories, vitals, and TPR
Review preventive care and identify services that are due
Educate clients about vaccines, parasite prevention, medications, and wellness care
Assist veterinarians with treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to clients
Perform blood draws and other sample collection
Perform and assist with diagnostics, including laboratory testing, radiographs, cytology, urinalysis, and fecal testing
Administer medications and injections as directed by the veterinarian
Maintain accurate, thorough medical records
Ensure services and treatments are accurately captured and charged
Perform technician appointments, including blood draws, bandage changes, post-operative checks, and laser therapy
Prepare medication refill requests for veterinarian approval
Help keep patient care moving efficiently throughout the day

Have 2+ years of veterinary technician experience

Technicians considered toward the upper end of our range should be able to independently demonstrate many of the following:
Confident venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Safe patient restraint and handling
Quality diagnostic radiographs
Laboratory sample collection and processing
Strong anesthesia monitoring skills
Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography experience
Medication calculations and administration
Efficient exam-room management
Accurate and timely medical documentation
Confident client education and treatment-plan communication
Ability to anticipate the veterinarian's needs and keep appointments moving
Ability to help train and support less-experienced team members
