Job summary

Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital in State College, PA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We welcome CVTs, LVTs, RVTs, or experienced technicians who are passionate about patient care and want to grow with a supportive team.

Under new leadership, we’re building on a strong foundation with improved systems and SOPs. You’ll work with a collaborative DVM team focused on teaching, development, and a positive culture.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred; experienced veterinary technicians encouraged to apply.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong interest in providing high-quality patient care.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
• Reliable, organized with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments and patient care.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor recovery.
• Assist with surgery and anesthesia monitoring.
• Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with dental procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventative care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area.
• Follow hospital protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the technician and DVM teams.
• Help provide a calm, low-stress experience for patients.

Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in State College, PA. We are open to Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs), Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), and experienced veterinary technicians who are passionate about patient care and want to grow with a supportive team.

Under new leadership, our hospital is building on a strong foundation while continuing to improve our systems, workflow, and team culture. You'll work alongside an enthusiastic DVM team that values collaboration, teaching, and professional development.

What We're Looking For

What You'll Do

Schedule

• Full-time position


• Flexible 4-day or 5-day work week


• Currently closed on Saturdays


• Saturday hours will be introduced soon, beginning with approximately 2 rotating Saturdays per month
