Veterinary Technician
Full-time: 4 day, 10 hour shift with rotating Saturdays

Vanguard Veterinary Clinic is looking for aVeterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration
  • Generalpatient care
  • Set up, position, and take digital radiographs
  • Collect, set up, and interpret in-house laboratory and cytology tests
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures
  • Educate clients on preventive care
  • Properly and safely restrain patients, reliably and with compassion to prepare for procedures performed by technicians and/or doctors.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • 2 years in veterinary hospital experience
  • LVT/RVT/CVT preferred, not required
  • Collaborator and willingness to cross train in all areas of a practice
  • Self-driven accountability for learning
  • Cheerful outlook

We are a full service hospital that offers care for dogs, cats, and pocket/exotic pets. We have a fun, fast-paced facility with a friendly & positive working environment. We value honest and direct communication between staff, management, and clients. We are community-centered, we honor the client/patient relationship, and we respect people and their pets.
We are open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-12pm
