Job summary

WagMore Animal Hospital LLC in Saint Charles, MO is looking for a passionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. This position involves assisting veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, anesthesia, sample collection, and technician duties in a supportive, animal-first environment.

You will perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, and lab work, while educating pet owners on treatment plans.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred or equivalent clinical experience.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and laboratory procedures.
• Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques.
• Excellent communication and client-friendly demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications.
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and cytology.
• Monitor and maintain anesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) as directed.
• Provide compassionate patient care and recovery monitoring.
• Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
