Job summary

Rowlett Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Rowlett, TX. This hands-on clinical role focuses on providing compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, community-focused practice within Thrive Pet Healthcare’s network.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinarians and staff, supporting exams, treatments, and surgeries while maintaining accurate medical records and delivering excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical veterinary experience required.
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged.
• Experience assisting with surgery and post-operative care.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Provide surgical assistance and post-operative nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with outpatient treatments and in-house lab testing.
• Support patient flow through admissions and discharges.
• Collect patient histories and maintain medical records.
• Use safe restraint techniques and follow protocols.
• Maintain clean, sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient hospital operations.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an essential role in patient care by:
