Veterinary Technician

Full-time: 4 day, 10 hour shifts from 8am-6:15pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Cedar Park, TX

Sign-on Bonus Available!

Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 7:45 AM - 6:00 PM, with some days ending at 5:00 PM. No Saturdays are required at this time, but this will change in the future.

About You

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will range from hands-on care of outpatient treatments and laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Veterinary technician licensure preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of veterinary technician experience
  • Surgical, anesthesia, and dental experience required
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
  • Maintain medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members.
About the Hospital

Thrive Cedar Park is a general practice focusing on wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuters, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and preventative care. We are open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
