Job summary

Newport Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians during appointments, diagnostics, and surgeries. This role includes safe patient handling, basic lab tasks, and maintaining clean exam rooms while updating records and communicating with clients.

The position requires strong communication and teamwork, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Accurately update patient records and support client communication.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

. Veterinary Assistant

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-6:00 PM, with a day off each week. Saturday shifts are 7:30 AM-12:00 PM and required. If you're scheduled for a Saturday, you'll also receive an additional day during the week in addition to your regular day off.
