Qualifications

• Experience with animal handling.
• Minimum 1 year in veterinary medicine within a hospital setting.
• Experience with blood draw, catheter placement, and pharmacy/filling medications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in appointments
• Perform lab tests on blood, urine and feces
• Administer medications and vaccines under a veterinarian's direction
• Restrain and handle animals during examinations and treatment
• Educate clients on animal care and treatment plans

• Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatment
• Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records of patients
• Restraint and handling of patients
• Experience with blood draw
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
• Strong communication skills with both team members and pet owners

Required Skills

• Experience with animal handling
• At least 1 year with a background in veterinary medicine and a hospital setting
