Job summary

VCA Sand Lake Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support patient care and client relationships within a collaborative 5-doctor team. The role emphasizes general practice, preventive care, and strong technician utilization in a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) or eligible to sit for VTNE.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative recovery.
• Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM.
• Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments.
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.

The Role

What You’ll Do
