Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform dental cleanings and obtain dental radiographs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist during procedures.
• Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates.
• Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Safely restrain patients and assist with diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and running efficiently.
• Pitch in wherever needed to support the team and our patients.

Occidental Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. We are hiring for either full-time or part-time, depending on the right candidate.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and credentials, responsibilities may include:

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures

What We're Looking For

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred
• Experienced Veterinary Technicians and experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply
• Ideally at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and client service abilities
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
