Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a veterinary technician to assist veterinarians with patient care, history taking, and sample processing. You will administer medications, maintain medical records, and ensure proper patient restraint while communicating with clients in person or by phone.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of clinical experience or a related degree/certificate in Veterinary Technology or Veterinary Assistant training, and must have reliable transportation and be available 38-45

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting as a technician.
• Degree in Veterinary Technology or Veterinary Assistant Certificate and training.
• Must have reliable transportation, be available 38-45 hours per week and 1 Saturday morning per month.
• Enthusiastic about Veterinary medicine and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patients and collect patient history.
• Obtain and process samples as needed.
• Administer medications and maintain medical records.
• Restrain patients properly and maintain a clean hospital environment.
• Communicate with clients in person or by phone.
