Sequist Animal Hospital in Morristown, Vermont, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join the team. We value a positive work environment, patient care, and community connections.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting veterinarians in exams and surgeries.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to safely restrain/handle animals.
• Ability to administer medications and treatments.
• Experience with lab diagnostics.
• Familiarity with radiology including dental.
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
• Understanding of medical terminology and products
• Safe and fear free animal restraint/handling
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Running lab diagnostics
• Radiology techniques (including dental)
• Phlebotomy skills / catheter placement
• Appropriate sterilization of hospital and equipment
• Provide education for clients through effective communication
• Anesthesia monitoring including pre and post op
• Machine maintenance
• Appropriate record keeping

We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with team members having a four-day work week. This means no weekends or late-night shifts! Why? Because we truly value a work life balance. While the work we provide is incredibly important and valuable, so are you.

Pay Range

rate is based off from experience and certifications but can range from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. This can vary depending on experience.
