Job summary

PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City, NC, is hiring a Veterinary Technician. The role involves assisting veterinarians, administering medications, vaccines, and treatments, and supporting nursing care in a busy AAHA-accredited hospital.

We offer four 10-hour shifts (Mon-Fri); weekends are closed except for limited boarding/kennel shifts. NC RVT license preferred; 1+ year experience recommended. Learn more at PetDocks Veterinary Hospital's site.

Qualifications

• NC state RVT license strongly preferred but not required.
• 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary assistant or technician required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills are essential.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species.
• Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives.

We are currently looking to hire Veterinary Technician to join our team at PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina.

• Salary: $17.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Hospital is closed on the weekends, but some boarding/kennel shifts are required.
• Location: 5307 Hwy 70 W, Morehead City, NC 28557
