East-West Animal Hospital LLC in Lutz, FL is seeking a passionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to work closely with veterinarians in a fast-paced clinical setting and to contribute to high-quality patient care for pets and their families.

You will assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, collect samples, monitor anesthesia, and educate owners.

Competenze

• CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and patient restraint techniques.
• Familiarity with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance protocols.

Mansioni

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.

• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
• Monitor and care for patients during anesthesia and post-operative recovery.

• Maintain accurate patient medical records using veterinary practice management software.
• Ensure exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized.
• Follow Fear Free Guidelines.

Requirements:

• Veterinary Technician certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and patient restraint techniques
• Familiarity with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance protocols
• Strong knowledge of common animal medications, dosages, and safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to high-quality patient care
• Fear Free certification -- we can provide access to training.
