Heidt Veterinary Hospital in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our experienced team. You will support veterinarians in exams, surgeries, diagnostics, and patient care, while delivering compassionate client education in a clean, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure by state requirements.
• AVMA-accredited Vet Tech degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Support patients through wellness, preventive, diagnostic, and emergency care services.
