Job summary

Animal Medical Clinic of Lawrenceville in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Veterinary Technician / Assistant for a part-time role. You’ll provide end-to-end care for our patients, assist doctors, perform outpatient treatments, and support admission and discharge processes.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of clinical experience, or CVT/RVT/LVT, strong anesthesia skills, leadership and communication abilities, and a proactive, reliable work attitude.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
  • Active CVT/RVT/LVT preferred but not required.
  • Superior/advanced technical skills and anesthesia capabilities.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a veterinary clinic setting.
  • Positive work attitude, self-motivation, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end patient care and assist doctors with outpatient treatments.
  • Support admission and discharge processes and perform laboratory tests as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong anesthesia skills and integrate findings for patient care.

Overview

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to supporting services including admitting and discharging patients. Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred, but not required
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a veterinary clinic setting
  • Strong anesthesia skills (able to obtain blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Positive work attitude
  • Self‑motivated
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills
