Job description

Duties

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as blood draws, wound care, and IV catheterization
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples
• Clean and maintain equipment including surgical instruments and work areas
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
• Perform therapeutic laser treatments after receiving company‑supplied laser safety certification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
• Experience with critical care and emergency situations as well as general medicine
• Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment

Requirements

• Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and have a willingness to learn and teach
• High school diploma or equivalent required
