A Day in the Life of a Veterinary Technician:

As a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a compassionate team to help heal injured pets. Our technicians partner with all departments to ensure lifesaving care for our shelter pets. Our veterinary technicians impact over 10, 000 shelter pets a year while serv ing their community in several ways, such as partnering with our Pet Help Center to help owners keep pets , and outreach events to extend animal lifesaving throughout Jacksonville.

Our techs rotate between various tasks including surgery assistance, pulling/drawing biological specimen collection for testing, filling meds, and so much more. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for learning and science. They also come from a strong customer service background and find fulfillment in teamwork and collaboration.

Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) and Part-Time (28 Hours/Week). Weekends required.
Salary: $15/hour (non-exempt)
