Overview

New Palestine Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Technician! We are a 3-doctor small animal clinic in New Palestine, Indiana servicing wellness and sick appointments, general soft tissue surgeries, dentistry, and more. We’re AAHA and Fear Free certified, with many staff who are Cat Friendly certified. We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician who wants to use their skills daily, continue learning, and be part of a clinic culture that supports one another.

Role: Veterinary Technician • Status: Full-time • Salary: $21 – $23 per hour • Schedule: 4 days a week and rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
• Run in-house laboratory testing (CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)
• Practice fear-free and low-stress handling techniques to keep our patients safe and happy
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas; follow infection control protocols
