NVA General Practice in Hurst, Texas is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a part-time position. Qualifications

• Veterinary Experience: 1 year preferred.
• Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare animals for exams or surgery efficiently.
• Provide nursing care or first aid to animals.
• Collect and test lab samples accurately.
• Take digital X-rays of animals.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, or treatments efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate with clients and educate them.
• Clean exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Observe patients for behavior changes.

Are you ready to join a great team of Veterinary professionals? Our small Animal Hospital in Hurst, Texas is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician. We are a 1-doctor practice open 6 days a week. We are a communication and respect focused practice that strives to be flexible to client needs, while still providing the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently preparing animals for exams or surgery
• Giving animals nursing care or first aid
• Collecting and testing lab samples
• Taking digital X-rays
• Giving medications, vaccinations, or treatments quickly and efficiently
• Collecting and maintaining patient accurate records
• Client communication and client education
• Cleaning exam rooms, kennels, hospital and restocking
• Observing animal patients for changes in behavior

Client Service

• Must have a strong ability to multi-task
• Extremely strong attention to detail
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Must be positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player
• Working rotating weekend shifts (at least twice a month)
• Must be willing to assist with answering calls & handling occasional receptionist duties

Clinic Hours of Operation: Mon – Fri (8am-6pm) and Sat (8am-1pm) Sun (Closed)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18-19 per hour

Education

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
