Thrive Pet Healthcare – The Heights is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, patient-focused team in Houston, TX. We provide wellness care, vaccines, spay/neuter, and end-of-life care in a community-focused hospital network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience.
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care.
• Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I–III; ASA IV–V experience preferred).
• Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics.
• Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documenting patient histories and medical records.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas.
• Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety.
• Mentoring fellow team members.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality patient care by:

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post‑operative care
