Thrive Pet Healthcare – The Heights is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Houston, Texas. You will deliver high-quality primary care to dogs and cats, build trust with clients, and work with a collaborative team of three doctors in a modern facility.

Thrive Pet Healthcare – The Heights is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Houston, Texas.

About You

You can care for pets throughout every stage of their lives, build lasting relationships with clients, and become a trusted part of the Houston Heights community. You’ll work alongside a supportive team in a collaborative environment that values high-quality medicine, compassionate care, and a positive client experience.

Whether you are an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate veterinarian beginning your career, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop your clinical skills alongside an established team of doctors. Our hospital is currently home to three veterinarians, creating a collaborative environment where you can ask questions, share ideas, and benefit from the experience of your colleagues.

You’ll be empowered to focus on what matters most - delivering exceptional veterinary care and supporting the health and well-being of every patient. We’re looking for a veterinarian who is compassionate, team-oriented, and excited to grow with a strong support team in a beautiful, modern facility.

Our progressive compensation model includes competitive base salaries with production compensation opportunities - plus, no negative accrual.

About Thrive Pet Healthcare – The Heights

Located in the heart of Houston Heights, Thrive Pet Healthcare – The Heights is a primary care veterinary hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible care for dogs and cats throughout the community.

Our services include:

  • Wellness and preventive care
  • Sick and illness examinations
  • Vaccinations
  • Spay and neuter procedures
  • Veterinary dentistry and dental care
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Soft tissue and advanced surgical care
  • End-of-life and compassionate hospice care

Our team takes pride in creating a welcoming, patient-focused experience for pets and their families. The hospital features a beautiful, new facility and a strong support staff, giving our doctors the resources and team environment needed to focus on practicing excellent medicine.

With three veterinarians currently practicing at the hospital, this is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who values collaboration and wants to join an established medical team. New graduates will have the opportunity to grow their confidence and clinical skills with support from experienced colleagues and Thrive’s broader veterinary network.

We are open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., serving pets and families throughout Houston Heights and the surrounding Houston community.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
