Job summary

Parkview Pet Clinic in Glendale, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team dedicated to dogs and cats in the community.

You will liaison between doctors, clients, and patients, organize diagnostics, coordinate hospitalized care, and communicate treatment updates. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is available and benefits include PTO, health insurance, and opportunities for CE growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of veterinary experience
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology
  • Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with staff and clients
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients
  • Ability to handle high stress situations
  • Flexible weekend availability

Responsibilities

  • Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
  • Organize/ track patient diagnostics
  • Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
  • Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates
  • Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions
  • Assist veterinary staff in animal restraint, radiography, and with lab equipment

Role Responsibilities:

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $20 - $30 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
