Job summary

Parkview Pet Clinic in Glendale, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support doctors and care for dogs and cats across our clinics. You will organize diagnostics, coordinate hospitalized patient care, and communicate clearly with clients, ensuring accurate discharge updates and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.

  • Communicate with clients, referring DVMs, and pharmacies about appointments and prescriptions.
  • Assist staff with animal restraint, radiography, and lab equipment.

Our clinic offers convenient hours, unparalleled customer service, and a full service offering, including various types of surgeries, dental cleaning/extractions, and ultrasounds. We also offer puppy and kitten packages.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
  • Organize/ track patient diagnostics
  • Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
  • Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates
  • Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions
  • Assist veterinary staff in animal restraint, radiography, and with lab equipment
Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of veterinary experience
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology
  • Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with both staff and clients
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients
  • Ability to handle high stress situations
  • Flexible weekend availability

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $20 - $30 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
