Job summary

DPC Veterinary Hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team. You will work closely with veterinarians to ensure excellent patient care and client communication. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate attention to detail and compassion for animals. Weekends and day shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record accurate patient histories.
• Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Administer SQ, IM and IV injections.
• Obtain laboratory samples and run tests on respective machines
• Restrain animals in a safe, efficient and compassionate manner during examinations and procedures
• Take digital radiographs
• Triage emergencies
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong technical skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Emphasizing high quality medicine, effectively communicating with clients/client education, professional, efficient and exceptional customer service at all times.
